Why Crown Economics
Two state-rankers, a whiteboard, and several thousand marked essays. We built the tutoring we wished we'd had.

Disrupting rote-learning since 2024
During our own HSC year we noticed something: the students scoring 20/20 on their essays were not the ones who had memorised the most textbook definitions. They were the ones who could take this month’s RBA decision and turn it into an argument.
So we started Crown Economics to teach exactly that. Every framework we hand out is one we used ourselves. Every set of notes is rewritten each term against the current domestic and global economy, not reprinted from a file that has been sitting on a hard drive since 2019.
What we hold ourselves to
Three commitments that shape every class, every set of notes and every piece of feedback.
Feedback inside 48 hours
Marking that arrives a fortnight later is a receipt, not a lesson. Yours comes back while you still remember writing it.
Notes rewritten every term
Contemporary evidence has a shelf life. Ours is refreshed against the current data before every single term.
Small rooms, real answers
Class sizes stay small on purpose, so there is always time to ask the question you are actually stuck on.

I built these frameworks because the textbooks were too slow. I teach synthesis, evidence and writing technique — the three things that separate a 17 from a 20.

My job is to decode the syllabus so you actually understand it, rather than memorising definitions you can't apply under exam conditions.
“The weekly marking is what did it for me. They ripped my essays apart in Term 1, but by Trials I was writing 20/20s.”
Come and try a class
Sit in on a masterclass before you commit to a term. If it isn’t for you, that is a perfectly good answer.
